Goa is one of the most beautiful states in the country that has been blessed with
unmatched natural beauty and splendor. Goa is mostly a year round destination and
one finds tourists visiting this beautiful state all throughout the year. But there
are a couple of months in the year when Goa is at its best when the shimmering beaches,
emerald green landscapes, historic monuments and the festive spirit come alive especially
during the months between October and February. These couple of months undoubtedly
forms the peak season. It is during the Christmas and New Year's holidays when this
tiny paradise reaches it crescendo as people from all over the world throng to the
beautiful surroundings of Goa. The state bursts with an infectious and an enthusiastic
spirit and there’s a celebratory mood everywhere since Goa definitely turns into
a party capital. Honeymoon couples, families, friends and tourists from all over
the world flock to this amazing state to join in the festivities that take place
on the beaches, the clubs, hotels, pubs and bars, markets and practically every
other place one can think of. The temperatures range between 15° - 25° Celsius thereby
making it perfect to enjoy an equally perfect honeymoon.
But there's also another aspect to this, which may not make it suitable for everyone
to visit Goa during this season. Since Goa is the most preferred destination during
the holiday season therefore the rates can tend to be much higher in comparison
to other months of the year. This may stall the plan of a lot of honeymoon couples
that may be planning a trip on a more affordable budget. But this does not mean
that a couple needs to lose heart and give up on the thought of visiting Goa, because
Goa can depict a different side to it which is equally charming and enchanting even
in other months such as the monsoon months.
The monsoon season begins in June and brings the much welcome rain thereby bringing
down the temperatures and the state does look amazingly beautiful wrapped in a blanket
of different shades of green. The temperatures plummet from almost 25° to 35° Celsius
during the summer months to 20° to 30° Celsius during the monsoons. Discover the
irresistible charms of Goa during this season when the rivers overflow and the hills
are covered with lush verdant vegetation. Though the beaches are extremely rough
and it is not advisable to swim or go near it but it does make for a pretty sight
and a couple can get all the privacy they want because there’s hardly any crowds
to interrupt their romantic sojourn. The monsoons lasts till the month of September
and since it does not attract to many tourists therefore even the hotel and airfares
are available at a discounted rate.
Summer months that extend from March to May do also constitute the off season, however
it is not advisable to visit Goa during this time of the year because it can be
quite hot, balmy and humid. But if you want to catch the lazy side of Goa then this
is the perfect time because everyone is in a lazy mood and you can think of enjoying
long siesta afternoons and cool summer evenings. Summers are a good option to visit
Goa for those honeymoon couples that may be on a budget because one is guaranteed
to get some great deals on travel and accommodation.
